Bristol Hate Crime and Discrimination Services offer a support service for victims of hate crime in Bristol that is free and confidential. We can support you to cope with the emotional, physical and mental trauma caused by hate crime. We can work with you to look at your options for taking action to resolve your case. We can work with statutory and voluntary agencies on your behalf, to encourage them to take action, to get updates, and to ensure that they do the right thing. We can support you through legal proceedings relating to your case. We can help you make complaints against other agencies. We can make referrals to other services you need. Your caseworker will work with you and on your behalf to get the best outcome for you.

Every Victim Matters

Last updated 26/11/24

Thanks to grants from the National Lottery Community Fund, we’re able to support people in the mainly rural areas of Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and Somerset who are dealing with hate crime. Launched in 2015, Every Victim Matters provides a free, specialist casework service for victims of all types of hate crime. Our Outreach Workers recruit and train up a network of local residents and agency workers to become allies. They are also building strong relationships with Diversity Trust and Swan Advocacy to help us deliver training, education and empowerment sessions – and reach out to even more LGBTQ+ and disabled people who face hate crime.
