UKEFF

UKeff is a charity that was set up in 2009 to educate the communities of Oldham following the riots and increasing levels of Islamophobia. Their aim was to repair the divided community through education, to show that our differences are beneficial, and that we can unite on the common good.

We offer a variety of services from food aid, support groups, coffee mornings and support to the homeless.

We are a Muslim organisation committed to supporting those in need. We offer support to newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees, as well as those who have been here for some time.

Our main work centres around food poverty and crisis support to anyone who refers into our service or is referred to us.

Our aim is to work with individuals taking them from being dependent to independence, and navigate the systems which are unfamiliar to them.

We have a Food Aid Hub which provides culturally appropriate food parcels. We can also assist with Clothing Household items and financial support through vouchers. Our support staff also assist with benefit applications and signposting services where our staff are unable to help.

We can help facilitate registering those who are affected by homelessness with the local council teams.
