The Phoenix Project Bristol
The Phoenix Project (Registered charity no: 1191100) aims to support displaced doctors' qualification to practice medicine in the UK through the provision of regular teaching sessions, helping them through the OET and PLAB exams. We also use these sessions to familiarise participants with the NHS and how it operates. Our sessions take place online and are either one-to-one or multiple teachers to one participant. Additionally, we also partially fund exam fees for our regular participants. Initially set up by medical students in Nottingham in 2019, The Phoenix Project has since expanded to Bristol, and the Bristol branch has been supporting displaced doctors in the area for several years, helping them to regain their professional identity and prospects.
