Salvation Army - Blackpool
The Salvation Army Blackpool Citadel provides essential support to individuals and families in need. They offer various services, including food banks, emergency assistance, and help for the homeless. Their aim is to assist people facing difficulties, such as those struggling with poverty, addiction, or mental health issues.
The Citadel works closely with local authorities, charities, and community groups to connect with those in need. People can be referred to their services by social workers, health professionals, or even self-referrals from individuals seeking help.
Examples of their work include providing meals and groceries to families, offering a safe space for homeless individuals, and running programmes to support recovery from addiction. They also organise community events to promote social inclusion and well-being.
The Salvation Army in Blackpool runs a weekly drop in service and provides support to refugees and people seeking asylum in Blackpool. They provide food and clothing donations as well as some casework support.
