Abigail Housing
We are a West-Yorkshire based charitable company dedicated to providing support and homes to refugees and asylum seekers who find themselves destitute on our streets.
This includes those who have been refused asylum but cannot reasonably return to their country of origin and those given refugee status who have to leave their NASS housing.

Abigail Housing - Bradford Destitution Project
In Bradford we support destitute, appeals rights exhausted (ARE) asylum seekers. We provide free accommodation, a private room in a shared house to this group. We have 15 bed spaces at this project all in Bradford. We don't take self-referrals to this project, they must come via another organisation/agency.
We provide financial, practical, material and holistic wrap around support. We operate a weekly drop-in for these clients and provide intensive casework support in partnership with local refugee organisations and legal representatives to enable clients to submit fresh claims and resolve their immigration status.

Abigail Housing - Leeds Refugee Project
Our Leeds project works with those recently granted refugee status.
We offer a private bedroom in a shared house and provide holistic wrap-around support, which helps with securing longer-term housing and resettlement, benefits, and volunteering and employment, as well as health and education.
We operate 2 schemes:
Our supported housing scheme is for those people who are eligible to claim housing benefit. We don't take self-referrals to this scheme.
Our Lettings scheme is a more light touch service than our supported accommodation offer, but it is still for those with support needs and at significant risk of homelessness. Rent is paid via Universal Credit. We do take self-referrals to our lettings bed spaces.
