Host Nation - Greater Manchester - Meeting a Friend

Host Nation is a charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers in the UK by connecting them with volunteer befrienders.

We help find local friends for refugees and asylum seekers.

• It's a great way to find out about life here in the UK, to practise your English and to explore new places. 

• We will introduce you to one another. You then meet face to face for outings to places like local cafes, parks, markets or museums.

• You both start with a promise to meet regularly for three months. Many of our friendships go so well that they continue for years!

How to access:

You will need someone to refer you to us. We need a person who knows you and can tell us that this is the right service for you.

Referrals welcome from refugee organisations, charities and local authorities.
