Mind - Stockport and District

Together we are stronger. We believe that no one should face mental health problems alone, which is why in addition to working with national Mind we are also one of five local Minds that work across Greater Manchester.

Service includes:

• Information & Signposting Helpline: Whether you are experiencing mental health difficulties yourself, or are looking for information to support a family member, friend or neighbour, you can contact our helpline.

• Carers Support Service: For carers of adults who are diagnosed with a mental health problem, autism or who are experiencing emotional distress. If you provide emotional and/or practical mental health support to a relative, friend or neighbour who could not manage without your help, you may be able to receive support as a Carer.

• Carers Drop-in: For more information and to sign up, please get in touch via phone or email

• Singing for Fun: our singing group enables users to build confidence, have fun and gain access to valuable information and services. Hot and cold drinks and biscuits are provided during the session.

• Thursday at One Art Group: The group encourages services users to express themselves using their creativity to turn their hand at a number of different forms of art
