Family Action - BAND Mental Health Support
Supporting adults with a lived experience of mental health to reach their potential.
BAND’s services are delivered by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Many of us have lived experience ourselves and we recognise and celebrate the value that peer support brings to our work.
Services include:
• Offer hands on help and guidance when people are struggling with benefits, housing, access to services etc.
• Provide support to attend appointments
• Help to grow self-esteem and self confidence.
• Support people to understand when their symptoms have a negative impact on their lives, and to find ways to overcome this.
• Encourage and motivate people to make positive changes
• Increase social contact with other people.
