Doctors of the World - Advice Line
Doctors of the World UK is part of the international network Medecins du Monde. In the UK, we support people accessing healthcare through a dedicated national advice line.
The Advice Line can currently support with:
• GP registration (a family doctor)
• Information on rights to healthcare in the UK
• Filling out HC1 forms to help with the cost of prescriptions, dental care and glasses for those who are not working
• Getting help to see a midwife in a hospital to check the health of mother and baby
• Getting support to end a pregnancy
• Finding other useful services
• Information on rights to medical (NHS) primary, hospital and community healthcare care in the UK, and support/advice if someone is refused treatment or gets a bill for hospital or community care.
