First Asian Support Trust (FAST) - Minding Futures
Minding Futures responds to the disproportionate disadvantage that affects the Cheetham Hill community.
This is a peer-support project run by Peer Welfare Ambassadors (PWAs).
PWAs are volunteer community outreach workers who are trained and qualified to work safely with those who are not accessing the help they need.
It offers friendly, multi-lingual and multi-cultural support to people in our neighbourhoods who are affected by stress, anxiety and depression as a result of isolation, hardship and inequality.
Services include:
• One-to-one individual, confidential support, advocacy and referral
• Support Groups
• Feel Good Activities, including Arts and Crafts, Make Do and Mend, Mens Sheds and Reboot UK
