Friends of Shamwari
Friends of Shamwari is a service dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and young people. The service focuses on children who may be facing challenges such as poverty, abuse, or mental health issues.
Friends of Shamwari offers various programmes and activities to help young people develop skills and build confidence. For example, they run workshops on topics like emotional well-being, life skills, and social interaction. They also organise outdoor activities and events, which allow children to have fun and learn teamwork.
Free monthly social (first Saturday of each month) for people seeking asylum, and those with leave to remain. Hot food, children's activities, bingo, raffles, fun and friendship.
How to access
Drop into one of our sessions or referrals can come from teachers, social workers, or healthcare professionals who identify children requiring extra support. Please contact us on phone or email.'
