Supporting refugee and asylum seeker doctors, nurses and allied health professionals into NHS employment. REACHE North West carries out training and offers pastoral support, provides facilities for study and runs additional projects for Refugee Healthcare Professionals (RHPs).

Free language & clinical training programme provided by NHS clinicians and academics for refugee and asylum-seeking doctors and nurses based in England.

Can provide free clinical placements and supports local registered doctors and nurses to secure their first job in the NHS.

Eligibility requirements:


• The programme is designed for doctors and nurses. We do not currently provide a programme for biomedical scientists, dentists, paramedics, pharmacists, or other healthcare professionals.

• Applicants must be awarded a Primary Medical Qualification (PMQ) by an institution which is recognised by the relevant council

• As we provide specialised support for the OET exam, we strongly recommend having English language skills equivalent to:

-ESOL Skills for Life Level 1 award

-OET C+ in all skills

-IELTS band 6.5 in all skills

You may be invited to an assessment of your grammar, reading, and writing skills during your application. This test takes about 100 minutes to complete.
